Hi guys
So last night I picked up a small Ric on a drag plug. Today I got home and eats been eaten.
Pretty much fully gone.
All I have in my tank is a yellow tang, flame hawk, 2 clowns and a coral branded shrimp.
Think k may have 2 crab hitchhikers also.
Just wondering what would of eaten the coral during the day?
Didn't even last 24 hours

Thanks

I didn't think they would cruise out during the day when the lights are on though. Never come out that I've seen, but I know where they are.

I'd take out the crabs on general principles. How do you know it was eaten vs. detaching or succumbing to changes in the water chemistry or a pathogen?

1+ This.. Frags often do not make it . many larger corals will Melt or shrink when moved from tank to tank depending on coral and water chemistry difference .

Serious? Never heard of this before, but never had one of these either. Weird. So what would the main cause of this be?

Esp Ricordias. If they don't like where you put them, they can detach and walk. But if flow is too high, they can float with the current n end up behind the rock work or under a ledge or inside a cavern were the flow is much lower.
