Just wanted to share this. I have had this large colt coral for almost 5 years now and it has had growth on the side of it for a while now. It is a completely diffrent type of coral or mutation on the side of it. The polyps are more clove like then the colt coral polyps. Anyways very cool.

It certainly looks like a different species. I can't see the connection point very clearly. Does it arise from a stalk od the colt coral, or is there a bulge or difference in texture where the meet?

It is very hard to tell what is going on when I place my hand in the tank and move the coral to see where the base is attached. All that I can say is the cluster crowing off or out of the colt coral is branching, like xenia stalks. Many stalks growing to gather to form what looks like one coral. Very weird.

hello, it is clear that this is another coral, the first is a cladiella if I'm correct, the other one would say the Clavularia sansibia or sp ...
