Nice pooch(es) KF :)

Colin,

It was not near enough to the spawn to get stung. And the lobo is on the wrong side.

And I hate to ask, because I know we covered this on the nano thread...but mysis is NOT the same as cyclopeeze, is it? I feed the tank cyclopeeze twice a week. The coral in question still extends tentacles from all of its polyps when lights go out. And I figure it feeds because, in addition to the cyclo. it grabs some meaty chunks I feed the other inhabitants and the percs. I am just kind of bumming because it is "my woman's" piece. She saw it and wanted it, so she grabbed it. AND its the only piece that is having a problem. Everything else is super healthy and extending feeders, etc. UGH..... well, the sun will always come up....right?

And not that I doubt organism's advice....far from it....but does everyone agree with sandbed placement and shade?

slukach, Try posting this in the general reef discussion forum!
There seems to be more traffic there . When I posted my my pagoda questions there I doubled my feedback!

hey, i believe the reason that coral died is lack of lighting. did you have metal hallide on your tank? It is to my understanding that that coral needs high intensity lighting such as metal hallide.

What type of coral is it? I have 72 watts of PC and I didn't think that the coral needed metal halide. But I could be wrong.....
