Coral ID and some concerns

A buddy of mine gave me this coral when he shut his tank down. I'm pretty sure it's a Pavona, but I'm not positive. Looking for an ID on it.

Also, it seems to have lost some of it's color over the past couple of weeks. It used to be green everywhere except the outer edges. Now, as you can see, it's got some spots that aren't green in the middle of each branch. Only recently have I noticed any sort of feelers being put out. And they're small and stringy. In other pavona pics I've seen, they look almost bushy.

I have zero experience with SPS. If this is indeed a type of Pavona, I've read all kinds of conflicting info about lighting and flow. I'd love to save this piece (if it indeed needs saving). Any ideas would be appreciated.

It's pavona ed.
In my experience,i always had it in a lots of-good flow area and as far as lighting,went well high and in the middle of the tank.
It's a very agressive coral though and it will sting every other sps you have(at least in my tank it did).That's the reason i also gave it to a friend.
So be careful where you will place it,give it space.:thumbsup:

My friend gave it to me because he was shutting down his tank. I have read that it's pretty aggressive. I'll make sure it has plenty of space to itself in the new tank. No other SPS in my current tank.

I have it right smack in the middle of the tank at the highest point I have. I'm running a 4 bulb T5 setup in my small, 55g tank. One actinic blue, one purple 460nm, and two 10K white. Is the lighting enough? I've read that some people have better luck with this coral on the substrate. Lots of conflicting info, probalby based on the hundreds of different tank setups.

I'll check my water params and post them.
