So, I have a tank, given to me by a friend. among other things, it contains these corals. Any idea what they are, and what/how to feed them?
Thanks!
the first is flat, and about 3" across. the second is about 8-9" across and 6" tall...

brain on the first one try mysis shrimp after lights off.
torch coral on the second will feed from the water colum also try phoplankton and marine snow give it room they get big quick and will sting nearbuy coral.

Also the brain seems to be a bit bleached out. What kind of lighitng are you using? How old are the bulbs? I would also feed some mysis to the torch coral by turning off clow and using a turkey baster or something similar and gently letting some of the food come to rest on the polyps of the coral. I would then turn the flow back on after a minute or two.

the bulbs are 8 months old, what would be considered "too old"???
also-not sure the type. this tank and setup was recenty aquired. i do know the tank is 8 months old, (fish, coral a little "younger") also- the previous owner never (not once) fed either coral in that time. i didn't even know they would eat until i read it here. i fed them bothg last night. the brain took a brine shrimp, i "basted" the torch with mysis- i'm pretty sure he got some...
left the circulation off for 15 min to do it, worked well...

thanks for the help. any other suggestions would be appreciated.
