Picked this up at the LFS for 9 bucks. I don't know if it is a SPS or what, the branches are a little flexible but still solid. It has been in the tank for about 2 weeks now and is doing much better than when i purchased it. I have been feeding marine snow and zooplankton about every other day when the polyps are open. If anyone has suggestions it would be appreciated.

+1 Always had really bad luck with those..find them very hard to keep alive..on another note..and not trying to be rude, but you may want to take care of the pest anemones in the pic..they can sting your piece.

They are YSP, i have been trying to get rid of them from this rock for a few months but loosing the war. Thanks for at least letting me know what i've got.

If ysp is yellow star polyp..I don't think so..but not an expert..they lool like Aiptasia Anemones ..but could be wrong.

I am pretty sure they are Non-photo. But with feedings they can be beautiful additons to a mixed reef. They are considered more diffucult than others though. And I also think those are aiptasia.

When I attempted to keep one was told they need high/indirect flow and feeding about every other day..not sure cause mine died in a lttle more than a week..

The blueberry gorggonian is beautiful, when i first purchased it the branches looked to be receding and the polyps were only opening slightly at night. It looks to be doing much better now and all polyps are opening full except one branch that still only opens slightly. I am going to keep feeding it with the syringe and monitor it.

The polyps are for sure yellow star polyps, i have half a tank full of them and can't seem to slow the growth down. Somehow while cutting them back a few months ago one attached itself to this rock and started multiplying. I keep trying to pull them off with a pair of forceps but a few always pop back up.

Here is a better pic
