coral id please

pick these up from lfs today what are they got them both for 30 bucks each

Its tough for me to get a sense of polyp size on the first one, but it reminds me of Diploastrea heliopora. The second one.. could be any number of Faviids. Ive got an Acanthastrea hillae that looks similiar, but it could be one of a few dozen varieties.

I was thinking the same thing, though it is difficult to tell in the picture.
 
I think #1 is a Diplo. also...I've got one with the same colors, but not as much space between the coralites.
 
Yes, but moon coral could be used to commonly describe numerous genera.

I have to agree with the Diploastrea and Acanthastrea verdict.
