I'm going to be putting together a 60 gallon cube. Can you give us more details like lighting, skimmer and stuff like that? Maybe a pic of what's hidden inside the stand?

Nevermind about the pics of inside the stand, I just watched your video. Is that the ATB skimmer?

Thanks fellows.

Here are a few more pics I took lastnight. It was hard to get a good top of the tank shot, due to my halide which are not hanging, but on 4 legs. Hope you guys like the pics..

Heres my daily+ weekly maintenance routine with the tank

- 8-10 gallon water changes every tuesdays

- All top off water dosed with Kalkwasser ( daily)

- change out GAC twice a week in HOB filter

- change out GFO & poly pad once a week in canister filter

- scrub/remove any debri on korilia pumps(5pumps) with toothbrush once a week.

-Test calcium and alkalinity once a week..

I know some of you might think I am going overboard changing out the media so quickly. I know, but I just like to do it..:D

Is that a 250 watt halide?

Yes 250watt 14K Phoenix bulb + 2 T5 actinics..

Well after 2 weeks. I was finally able to fully acclimate my mangroves. They are now good at 1.025 salinity. I put 5 plants in my reef today..

The roots have grown pretty quick IMO..

Whoa now that is cool. The mangroves really do add a natural touch to your tank, and I am sure that they will absorb a good amount of phosphates and nitrates as well. By the way would you be willing to sell a few pods to me? Would love to have some for my FOWLR to help keep my nitrates down.

Where do the mangrove plants go? Sump or tank? I would think the roots would not look good in tank

I put the roots in between and behind my liverock. So if you were to look in my tank. You will only see the stalks of the mangroves. With that being said, you can put mangroves in both places..
