coral morphing

Has anyone ever heard of coral morphing ? I have a lot of digi coral frag pieces in my tank so I moved them all to one spot some red some brown some green . I really didn't think about what might happen . I set up a frag tank in the basement and started moving extra stuff from the main tank to the frag tank . When I moved the stack of digi frags I noticed that they fused together and it looks as if they are growing as one with a different color . Is this possible ? It looks like a green with a off orange body almost like a sunset monti except in digi form .

Should I try to frag a piece of the morphed coral and see what it looks like after it grows for a while or just leave it all alone to continue growing as is ?

just joking around if they morph and live and grow all three colors continually, you will have a very rare and expensive coral there!!

Pics will have to wait . I have to go to school tonight and work all day tomorrow . The soonest I will be able to take pics will be saturday night .

Coral Fusion and Grafting

It is very possibly. Usually you have a very contrasting bias of color, but sometimes blending does occur.

Dert42 unalike species will battle, but akin species will homogenize.

My post of the month hope that helps
