Hi everyone,
Recently I have bought a couple of various coral frags including a torch coral, and a green Kenya tree coral.
So while I was reading about these species, both require moderate light, and the Kenya requires medium flow while the torch requires high flow. I've also read that they are aggressive towards other corals.
Because of this I have placed both corals at the top of my rockwork, along with a hammer coral away from my other species. I have noticed the torch coral and hammer open nicely, although the flow seems too strong for the torch (as in the tentacles sway violently back and forth in different directions). The Kenya on the other hand also opens well, but when I crank up the intensity of my lights, it closes, especially when I brighten the whites. Currently I keep blues at 75% and whites at 50% power. I would like to increase the whites to 75 or both to 100, but don't want to burn up my Kenya tree. I also wish to add some acros and montis to my tank so I'll need to light and flow.
So my dilemma is whether I should move around my torch and Kenya, without risking my other corals, as I don't want to keep the, at the top with the upcoming SPS coral. I was also wondering if the torch coral and hammer coral could be placed closer together without total chaos unfolding, to make room for other species.
Sorry for making you guys read so much
