It really depends on the coral. Super glue or two part epoxy is most common I think.

What coral specifically are you wanting to mount? There are different methods for every coral.

Some will encrust to the rock. Zoos are easily attached with GEL superglue . Infact most soft coral can be mounted with GEL superglue. Some LPS coral will require fish safe epoxy but be careful not to get to close to flesh as epoxy tends to heat during the curing process. Some coral like mushrooms can move if they dont like a location.

I wait to mount untill i find a good location. I will move around a few times seeing if it likes a specific location.
