Coral QT lighting

For those of you who quarantine new corals or who have a smaller frag or grow out tank, what kind of lighting do you use. I'm looking for something that will work well with a standard 10g tank and is on the cheaper side.

That makes sense, but I'd like to try to avoid spending 200 bucks to buy another photon. It does make sense though, for the corals health and acclimation.

I've definitely looked at those, and like what I see, but I've been trying to fine one used, if possible. I've been looking on the selling sections of a couple other forums, as well as on some Facebook reef selling groups. I haven't lucked out yet. If I can't fine something within a reasonable amount of time, I'll probably end up going with something exactly like that.

I am a Member but dont know what a "referral" does. ;-)

Good group of people and way better than searching Craigs list for used gear.

I try to match as closely as possible the lighting in my DT.

This.

If one is going to do long QTs on coral (which is smart), you should also light acclimate at the same time. So having the same lighting make the most sense. It can be costly, but what in this hobby isn't...

So, then, Reef Breeders Photon (main lighting) compared to a Marsaqua (proposed qt lighting). Comparable though for the situation? Or literally use the same type of lighting?

My 10g coral QT tank will be very temporary. I would like to avoid buying an expensive light for this reason. Are there any ideas to a VERY cheap light that would be enough to keep a coral alive? I have a 20g tank for fish only, but the 10g would be for coral.
