Coral Questions...

Good morning,

I have some questions about these two corals.

I need to identify the first coral.

For the second one as you can see it has a sponge growing over it, so any ideas about how to get rid of it would be appreciated.

First picture looks like a torch coral to me. I have sponges on my corals as well, but they only cover up dead heads.

I've read that just exposing them to the air can kill them. With that said, when I transferred tanks, most of the sponges on my corals died off when I exposed them to the air for a few minutes.

First coral looks like galaxea. As for the sponge... lift that rock out of the water and scrub the sponge away with a toothbrush or similar. The palys won't care, you can hit those with a hammer and not hurt them.
