Coral Reef and Ocean Design

Hey, ultimate got rained out today so in the area I checked out the two shops.

Tony has some fantastic corals and clams right now. Prices are high, in some cases shockingly so. But the stuff is healthy. On inverts they have the jumbo nassarius at reasonable prices, and some good deals on shrimp and other snails too.

Jim has done loads with Coral Reef. While the "help" is not much better than ever in the past, the fishroom is going to look very nice when he is done. I nearly picked up a purple tang ($59, large, nice fish). Some decent corals. But fantastic deals on shrimp and urchins -- all under $7 apiece and you get the discount too.

I like the coral selection at ocean design, but as said prices are way up there. Did you see the tank that was infested with aptasia? or did that butterfly they had in there take care of the problem? I like the prices at coral reef, but the selection is somewhat low to me, the prices are a little more reasonable but havent seen something i want to buy. I did buy a bi-color angelfish from them at a great price, their fish seem to be the most reasonable.

They are working on putting a reef section down the middle of their fishroom. Give them a lil time.

I did not know that, i was wondering why they redesigned the fish room.
