Coral Sale Open House on the 8th of April

Here are the details of how I am going to sell all my corals. I am not going to touch a single colony in my tank until every confirmed person is present. Available will be every colony of all frags that I have ever brought up to a Frag meeting or a Prop auction. I will have some Styrofoam boxes and lots of water made up for everyone to pack their corals in. If you have them please bring you own containers or boxes as I will not have enough for everyone. What I will have is enough food and drink for everyone. So there will be no need to stop for lunch on your way home.

I will start by getting a consensus of how many people want a particular frag of each colony. The price will be set at that time. I (or whoever has the Dremels) will then pull it out and frag it into that many equal frags. The price will be exponentially lower the more that want a frag of it. Everyone; believe me they will be very very large frags for a great price. Obviously the Blue Tort, Tri-Color Nana, Pink Mille and my Prop corals will be more then the Digitatas as I am sure you all can understand. I just want to distribute my corals to fellow hobbyist at a fair price which we all can be happy with.

My open house will start at 10am on the 8th of April as you could have guess from the poll. Please send an email to rollinge@cox.net to confirm your attendance. I will email my address and direction to my house in Sierra Vista to you then. My cell # is (520) 236-8782 please give me a call if you have any questions about anything. Again, everything you have seen at the meetings will still be in the tank ready to be fragged to ensure everyone a fare chance at everything. Here are a few pictures of my tank. These are a month or so old, I will post more in the next week.

OK here is what everyones been asking for

OK here is what everyones been asking for

Kind of scary isnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t it!! What I did to come up with the price is to multiply the ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œnormalââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ going price for one of my frags at the meetings by 10. Some I bumped up or down a little due to the size of the colony. I will sell the entire colony for the price listed if only one person wants it. What this means to everyone else is that if a colony you want gets fragged into 10 frags you will get a frag approximately 3-5 x larger then you have every seen at the meetings for the about same price. Please Please do not let the colony price scare you away, divide that # by 10 to get the per frag price, keeping in mind they will be large frags!! There are a few straggles in the tank but will do those on a case-by-case basis.

Painful, Just Painful! Oh the humanity!! Why couldn't this have come in about 4 months when I would have my MH's set up?!! Arggh, If you guys don't take this deal.... Man if only I was set up. I think your prices are totally fair.

Ed, would any of those do ok under VHO if they were in the top half of the tank? Or do they really need the MH to thrive?

ED, Im the guy that stopped by your house saturday and was not able to pickup anything right then.. just want to make a time to come by and pick up a few different frags. Let me know when you will have time to set this up. I left my E-mail and # with you that day as well. Thanks

Karen - Yes I have a few that would do ok under VHOs but as you said most will need MH to thrive. The Montiporas and the Hydnophora would be the ones you may want to look at.

Phxkeller - There was only one person at my house Saturday and you are not him :) I think you have me confused with someone else.

Everyone, I need to start getting a head count of how many plan on coming to my house on the 8th. I have had little to no response and I have a lot of stuff to take care of before I leave in June. I no one plans on coming I need to know so I can start to sell some stuff online.

Thanks,
Ed

Instead of bringing up my other thread and to stop all the PMs about it I will just post here. My tank and ALL associated equipment has been sold :) Now for all the coral, as all the rock and fish have been spoken for also.

To help everyone out with choosing corals, I Photoshopped two pics of Ed's tank. One for the LEFT SIDE and one for the RIGHT SIDE. Each coral is marked with a tag and its total price. Divide by 10 to get a share price. If you want mor than one share or the whole colony, then just state that.

I would also like to point out that these photos were taken by me on October 9, 2005.

Two caveats to note:
1. Some of the corals (items listed in the photo with a letter and no numbered ID tag) have been traded or did not survive (like many of the zoos, includiong my favorite: powerhead red zoos). These are very few, but worth mentioning.

2. Like a vehicle's passenger door mirror reads: Objects in photo are larger than they appear. :)
Ed's tank as many of you know, has amazing growth. Some of these corals have grown three times the size seen in this photo, like #5 Acropora sp. (Green with teal tips).

I will attempt to post these pics on the site. But I will also include the url to the pics so that you may download them and use Photoshop or equivilent tool to scroll around the image and read the ID tags better.

These pics are large:
