is anybody using coral vibrance,if so what sort of results are you haveing and is there a best time to feed it to acros and montis thanks inadvance gary

I have never tried it but dont generally like powdered dry foods. I perfer oyster eggs from DT and like to feed either first thing in the Am or just after lights out as this is when I se the best expansion in the acros.

Isnt Vibrance just a color enhancer? the best foods are live foods and secondly frozen.

I picked up some for $6 on ebay to give it a try. I've been feeding at lights out for about a week now with some Oyster Eggs and seem to see a bit of better color and growth. Too early to tell as it may just be a coincidence. Nothing else has changed in the tank so I'll have to keep an eye on things to see how it goes.

I use coral vibrance got off of ebay also. It seems to make mine grow faster; as the lay down their base faster and start to grow upwards and out faster. Been using for about 4 weeks now the fastest of the growers are brown birdsnest (had 2 months with little growth), green millie, neon green digi, and scripss green stag. Actually i broke a couple of pieces off moving some rocks. But just placed the frags on some rocks and the started to lay their base. Broke the frag after I started using coral vibrance. Everything in my tank use to be slow growers everything strat growing faster after coral vibance. I have about 15 different sps and 1 lps.

Also I use phytofeast one a week. And coral vibrance daily aftter I get of work around 4am.

So you feed this stuff every day? Do you turn off your skimmer? How about algea...any blooms from excess nutrients in the tank?

I got a sample of it a long time ago and was just wondering. Never really used it.

I've been using it daily now for close to two weeks and have not had any algae problems. I usually shut off the skimmer for an hour or two.

I feed daily after lights out but with moon lights on. I'm at work when my lights go off so I feed it when I return home around 4am. 1 hour before moons lights are off and 4 hours before lights come back on. I also turn of skimmer for 2 hours using a timer.

been using it for about a year. good stuff. i usually feed it two-three times a week an hour before lights out.

thanks rick any reason you feed an hour before lights out ? some people say feed after lights out thanks gary:confused:

IMO it gives the light loving things a chance to get some too, but i should mention I use no form of mechanical filtration in my systems (I use a settling tank/fuge), so it gets recirculated until it either settles (then the pods get fed), is eaten by the target species, or gets pulled by the skimmer. i also have my sun coral trained to open up then and it gets a bit too.
