hi can anyone tell me whats wrong with my coral and how to cure it thanks

Really need clearer photos to see what is going on. is it a pretty dense white mass- might be a sponge growing over it, in which case, you can just pick it off. If it looks more loose and flowing, kinda weblike, it may be infected tissue.
Not sure if its just the photo itself, but the tank looks kind of cloudy- definitly get a full range of water tests done to check up on it before doing anything.

From the photos, the coral resembles Goniopora. The white patch looks like some type of bacteria or maybe a fungal infection. Try treating it with an iodine dip.
Is the white area growing rapidly or slowly?
Do the polyps surrounding the white area look infected by it?

hi it did seem to be getting worse so i cut the infected area of so it would not spread any more, it seems to be ok now. it did stink though. thanks
