Coral

I'm not sure if it is alright to post other websites on here or not, but below is a link to a guy in Granger who sells coral colonies wholesale and is available by appointment to the public. He has a 10,000 gallon set-up and is a distributor for online retail business'. He claims 30% of all coral in the midwest goes thru his facility, which is a greenhouse. He has anywhere from $20-40K in coral at any one time. I spoke with him and he said he had acan colonies for $100 that once sold to his clients are normally broken in five pieces and sold $80 each online. Blood shrimp $20. Large pieces of SPS for $25. It sounds like he sells colonies only - no frags. I have not yet been up there, but it sounds pretty sweet. Thought I would pass on the info.

It may make for a good, inexpensive group buy and frag opportunity. Sounds like one piece could be split into at least five or six nice frags. The owner encouraged me to get the word out to anyone else who was interested. :D

Could I get contact info. for this place please? Phone address email whatever will work
Thanks

The name of the business is Advanced Aquatics Biotopes and Dan Walker is the manager. Phone is (574) 904-1053. Address is 13300 St Rd 23, Granger. It is by appointment only. The facility is a modified greenhouse. I made my first visit saturday evening and he definitely has a ton of coral (mostly mid-large sized pieces) and a good selection of fish and inverts. I didn't get to spend a great deal of time to speak with him about the operation because there was another couple scheduled at the same time so my knowledge base of operations is limited. If he doesn't have what you're looking for, he can order it. He encouraged me to invite anyone who's interested so I thought I'd pass the info on to help out fellow reefers. If you get a really sweet deal, maybe you can throw me a frag :D
