Coralife Pure Flo II Issue

Hey everyone,

I just purchased and installed a new Coralife Pure-Flo II RO/DI unit. I believe I may have crossed one of the connections when I set this thing up, as I'm getting way more "filtered" water than I am waste water. I would assume it should be the other way around (more waste water, less filtered). At this rate, I'm producing WAY more water than the 50gpd spec limit of the unit.

Here are a couple of pics of the setup. I believe the red and blue connections on the membrane may be reversed.

I'm hoping someone one here has one of these units and can verify that I have my red and blue lines crossed on the membrane.

Thanks for your help!

I had the same symptom. Lots of production. The problem was that I had not seated the ro membrane correctly. When you seat it it has to "snap" in place. Once I did that the production slowed down to a dribble.

Checked the canisters and the RO membrane, and it looks like the RO membrane wasn't seated properly in the housing. I gave it a little push and it snapped into place as daven suggested. Seems to be working like a charm now (i.e. much slower production as expected).

Thanks for the quick responses, I really appreciate it.

I have the same Corallife RO unit. My DI canister for the last few months remains only half full when the water supply is on or off. Any guesses to why?

Because there is no backpressure on the unit and the flow into it is slow because it is just what has been produced by the RO. Mine never fills either.
