One would be a sediment filter, and the other is a carbon block.

The order in which they should be is, sediment filter, carbon, RO membrane, then the DI stage last.

Go to bulkreefsupply.com carry all the replacement filters you need and the DI

You can save a lot of headache by maintaining your rodi properly. If it didn't come with a manual you should try to find one online. This style of unit is pretty standard so if you can't find the instructions for the same model you have, a similar "4 stage rodi" will get you close enough. Little things like flushing new filters when you put them on, and avoiding tds creep can save you tons of money by getting the most out of the filters and resin you buy, and getting the purest water for your tank.
