Coraline Algae

I just did this with some dead fiji rock that had been live at one time.... It was a white as a bleached coral skeleton... I cycled it in garbage cans and salt water for 8 weeks, then threw in 2 rocks at 2# which was covered in coralline...

4 weeks later I have specs all over the rock another 4 weeks and I imagine that everything will be covered...

I keep my calcium at 425 and Alk at 4 under 4x24wT5 powered by ICECAP 660. (PS- I've done this before and I like to think I know what I'm doing.)
 
yes you can seed rock. snalls help spred it a round. chepist way to keep up ph alk cal is. pickling lime 1 lb at wallmart $2.29. and it likes blue actnics, dose not like mh. p.s. NO URCHINS!
