Honestly, coraline algae is as much a part of the hobby as saltwater. I can't imagine any way possible to keep marine creatures and not have coraline growing somewhere in the tank.
If your real question was to keep it off the glass and/or the easiest way to remove it... that's a whole other mater.
What tools are you using to scrape it? It really shouldn't be that difficult to remove with a nice razor blade or a flat edge metal scraper. Especially since you don't have acrylic to worry about.
You may consider a long spine urchin, they can go to town coralline and make it easier to remove.
