Coraline growth stopped

A couple of months ago it looked like my 6 month old tank was well on its way to purple land. 2 months later it looks to me like the coraline that had started is mostly gone. Haven't changed lighting intervals or anything else for that matter. Any ideas??
Thanks

alkalinity level and dosing??? when my coralline started growing, it consumed my alk rapidly.. they grow at higher alk.

Agree... check calcium and alkalinity.

When I started, and had very little in the way of coral, I wasn't testing for calcium. My coraline algae was growing like crazy though, and then suddenly stopped and started turning white. Found my calcium levels at 340. Once I got them back up over 400, and started dosing cal/alk (just for my coraline!) it came back again.

you could use sodium carbonate (washing soda/soda ash/baked baking soda) to raise alkalinity and pH. sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) will also raise alkalinity but it will lower pH a bit.
