Coraline or red slime? pics

hey i know this pops up alot but i was just curious tank is about 3 months old nitrates 10 ammonia 0 nitrites 1 calcium about 490 i am starting to see small patches of dark red spots. i thought it was coraline because of how it was showing up but i saw some on my front glass and it wiped off with my glass magnet pretty easy sorry about pictures

So much blue, can't see anything (or I'm too old ). Red slime is soft, thin like a silk, you can remove easily by siphon if hard might coraline

I'm not sure if I misunderstand what you mean. Coralline will increase anywhere that the light can reach. That means your calcium, magnesium are in ideal parameters. Typically, it takes few weeks to grow, it appears on glass, you need a scraper to remove.

Coralline is a PITA to get off the glass no matter how big it's gotten. You'll definitely need a scraper even for tiny bits. A cloth or sponge usually won't do.

Also, yeah, I'm thinking it's coralline. I find that the red varieties tend to grow only on rock, though, so maybe I'm wrong. If it wipes away with a finger swipe, it's definitely not coralline.

Sounds like the glass stuff was red algae and the rock stuff is coralline. Keep your eye on the rock stuff. If it grows slowly out in all directions, it's coralline for sure.

Edit: Sorry, i now see that you included the part about wiping it in the OP.
