Just a quick question, I have a smallish squamosa clam, that has a few corallimorphs growing on the side, which expand to quite a decent size. Apart from competing for light, is the clam likely to suffer any ill effects from having the 'morphs attached to it?
They shouldn't cause any problems. Just watch for any localised retraction by the clam as this will suggest that there is some stinging by the corallimorphs.
This is my experience, these shrooms are climbing over the squamosa. Any trouble at this moment.
The shroom and the mantle are in contact 80% of the time but they're not over. I picked the clam to see if she's ok and the mantle looks great, not attack at this moment.
Some mushrooms are real killers, a close friend of mine saw his clam gone in less than 1 day since one green shroom touched his clam for just second
Thanks guys, if the lights are on, then the shrooms and the mantle are in constant contact, but it dosent appear to be doing any harm, I just thought that it may be causing some damage that I cannot see,
