I have some purple coralline algae I would like to have more. How can I make it spread?

Provide some light, adequate calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity levels. Some very light scraping will also spread out spores, thus enhancing coverage. Coralline predators, such as urchins, do this, but can be very destructive to light coralline populations.

you can also try a product called Purple-Up. I and many others have had great success with it. However, I would only dose half the amount it calls for.
