coralline algae

Would changing 20% of my water once a week slow down coralline algae growth.
I have a 10 gal tank and supplement with iodine strontium and calcium.

Water changes should not really matter in coralline. Are you testing levels for what you are adding? You do not want to overdose! What do you have in your tank that a 20% water change will not take care of?

Im using ro water so I believe I need to supplement.
No I dont test the water but I follow the quantities on the product label.I wasnt aware of acurate strontium or iodine tests but I am testing for calcium.
My coralline growth is poor but the tank is only 4 months old.
Any tip would be appreciated

Ro/di is best. The salt mix should have all that is needed unless you have a full blown sps reef and loads of clams. The only real issue there would be alk and calcium.

Most people here will tell you "if you cannot test for it, don't add it". Hey, my cor growth was poor for a very long time until I added some from a "scraping" and got my parameters where they should be. Just keep your alk and calcium to par and you'll be fine. 4 months is really not a very long time, believe me. That is still a "new" tank. The only thing that happens fast in this hobby is bad.

Long time :( huh, I had my tank at cycled , and I found out that the FS made a mistake while shipping my rock and they were not the 60lbs I ordered. I got an extra 60lbs of uncured rock on Wednesday, brushed it rinsed it and added it to the tank... Not its is jut the waiting game. you can see how the tank looks now here
