Coralline finally starting, questions

Coralline is finally starting to form on my powerhead and an obscure spot on my overflow wall.

My question is now that my tank is almost a year old, should I have more by now? I've had one large rock with coralline in there ever since I started and if anything it's lost some of its purple luster. The coralline that is appearing is very pale, but does seem to be increasing in size.

1. My tank has also had 0ppm N03 and around .03-.08ppm p04.
2. Alk 8-10dkh and Ca always 430-490ppm.

My question is, do my rocks have to be perfectly spotless for it to grow, if there is some film on them from dead algae do i need to clean it off? Most of my rocks have this weird white fuzz on them from an old GHA outbreak that occurred last time (the water I used for my water change from LFS was tainted).

I don't want to have to manually scrap each rock to get it to grow, but if I need too I will

To boost Coralline, bump your Magnesium to 1400.
You can add few snails to clean your rocks.

^ yea as poster above said boost your MG to 1400-1500 and throw some snails in if you don't already have some.... Or maybe some added hermits??

I have a small 25G Lagoon nano that I just re set up back in late September 2018. I have too much coraline lol.... I used really good cycled live rock and made sure my tank was super stable and it started growing pretty fast.

If your tank is a year old and barely any coraline then there has to be some sort of issue.. If you had GH Algae I am sure that did not help....

Just get things stable and good water chemistry and coraline should grow easily.
