Corals and Cocktails?

Devil Rays home opener! Help a fellow reefer! TIVO! LOL
I don't see the problem. They will have MANY more home games. JK
We know where your priorities are.

Stephen, it would not be a party with out you, you have helped with everything else you might as well come for the pay off.

Mike, how late is the game....you could come after that.

girlfriend staying in town, guess we are staying home tonite - have fun, take lost of pictures and post here!!!!

Greg,
Sorry I couldn't make it. By the time I got done with the tank and got my Taliban fed it was too late. Maybe next week I will stop by and take a look at the progress.

Greg, sorry I just saw the post. Guess I'm a little late 1am Saturday now. Think I'll have a beer here and celebrate your tank anyway.

John,

Thanks for the help, it has been a real fast ride, from gutting the room to placing corals in the display in 5 weeks. I have to remind myself of that whenever I think I am behind the ball.

sorry guys, I still haven't cleaned up all the beer bottles and done the dishes it was a good time.

As for pics I have about 100 to go through and clean them up but I will get some up.

Now Greg, I was down there today. It's not that bad. Now don't get me wrong...it needs cleaned up, but where are your priorities...POST SOME PICS...that thing (150 Reef) looks great!!!

First I would like to say thanks to all that came and helped out, I had a real fun time.

The tank is ready for some more corals, and we are getting ready to be creative.

YEA,WHAT MATERIAL IS THAT?

The ledge is cut keys stone and the back drop is travertine, there are details on my build thread just click on the lil red house.

did you do the ledge out of cut key stone so that you could have a anerobic bio-bed without the hassles of a deep sand bed, or is the stone too dense for that?

No it is very dense and will be anerobic providing denitrification, but it is mainly there to hold back my 6" DSP from the glass. The 2500gph flow would blow sand all around and scallop out the DSB at the glass. I didn't want to look at 6" of sand on the glass and it gives me a place for low light corals (Zoas & Shrooms) that space has been named the mote.

That's just crazy...I mean that in a good way! That is pretty darn amazing!!!!!

Sometimes you have to think outside of the box, I like to find ways to make short comings work in my advantage instead of just accepting them .

Now when I'm asked Do I have a BB or DSB? I can just say yes.:)
