Well after fighting fish diseases for the last 8 months since setting up my 150. I am going to be taking the system apart to start over again to be rid of the ick once and for all.

Anyway, so here is the first part of it. I have some nice corals I have collected over the last few years that need to find new homes. Most are good size piece a few small frags.

Every coral in the tank is for sale as are the inverts. If I don't have a prices on it just ask.

Sorry I suck at picture taking but these should give a general idea.

All corals are located in Eustis Fl 32726. I ma available for pickup after 5:00 or next weekend. I will be going out of town for Christmas and would like to get all my coral gone by then.

BTW the rics are not for sale and the zoas, I will be keeping small frags of each of my colonies. Other than that everything must go.

If you have no fish in the tank now just let it run for another 40 -60 days and the ick will die off. It needs a host to survive.

Did I just read correctly? You are going to tear down a system because of ich?

Um, I think every tank has ich, and you may be gravely disappointed to see it come back after redoing the tank...JMO...

Ich only shows up on stressed fish...I think you need to figure out what may be causing that?

Stray current, Water perams? Check that voltage in the water...you may be surprised...

I dunna man, but I would hate to see you do all that to find out it did not fix a thing...

my hippo gets a bit of ick every now and then, but it goes away...I would seriously look into something causing stress...

Ich is always gonna be there no matter how many tanks you build. It is a parasite that lives under the skin of the fish. It only comes out and becomes an issue when there is stress. When the conditions are right, the ich comes out from under the skin and reproduces by the millions. It's the babies that attatch to the fish trying to bore in and causes death. With NO FISH in the tank to host it, ich will die off after 6 to 8 weeks. The key is to re-introduce the fish back to the system one at a time over weeks. If you put all of them back at once, or try to restock too fast, then the system goes into a cycle and stresses the fish, giving the ich another chance to pop out and start all over.

i have always found it just goes away on it's own...if you have strong fish they won't die...unless of course you still have something stressing the fish?

Then it won't and no matter what if you take em out for weeks, forget it, not gonna fix it...

Probably all good valid suggestion, but the tank will probably be coming down entirely fro a bit. I wanna get the corals out so I can hypo the fish and get them healthy so I can feel good selling them. Then the tank will come down. Between the economy, two kids, my schooling and theirs, time and money are gonna be a bit tight for a while. I love this hobby and so the decision to take the first step towards pulling this apart has been a hard one. I am probably not going to sell the equipment cause I would loose to much and will be back in the hobby in a few years when I am through with a few commitments. I am keeping my tank at work setup so I will keep zoas and rics and a few sps there.

Anyway, comon someone has to want some corals. Most of these cost me alot more than I want for them.

Liverock will for sale for 2.50 a lb I have a 4 lare base peices that I would like to get 1.50 a lb for.

Fish are up for grabs too.

A quick note on the fish. I have been fighting ick for a while now. The only fish with visible signs right now is the PBT, however, I highly recommend qt as with any new addition. I was not planning on offering the fish for sale untill I had the chance to properly treat this, however if someone would like some of the fish I will sell as listed below. If all fish do not sell I will be qt'ing them and they will be back up forsale in February.

Orange Shoulder Tang still mostly Juvy colors 4" 35.00
Powder Brown Tang 3" 20.00
Yellow Tang 3" 20.00
Yellow Coris Wrasse 6" 20.00
Sixline Wrasse 2.5" 10.00
Pair of Clarkii Clowns (never spawned) 40.00
Male Lyretail Anthias 10.00

Large Coperband 40.00

Note on the coperband. I have had this fish for about 3 months. He is a model citizen. He has never picked at any coral. He does enjoy my nausarius snails, and I feed him clams once or twice a week. He eats the mysis shrimp when I feed the tank. I won't net him because as I understand it, netting is dangerous for this fish. So he will probably be one of the last to leave the tank.

Anyone that buys any of the corals, sand or rocks from that tank needs to be sure and QT them with no fish for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Not trying to discourage any sales, just hate to see ich outbreaks get started. There is a good chance that any rocks or sand will be full of ich spores, but they will all die off after 6 to 8 weeks QT without a fish to host them.
