I'd like to make an announcement of having some corals available FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY / CASH ONLY (at Russell Kentucky).
I recently got pulled into a new hobby (still dealing with my love of animals of course!) and became a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. It is a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot, but it has been leaving me with much less time to spend on my tanks. Therefore, I've been very seriously thinking about going "fish only" for a while.
Sorry, but absolutely no fire sale prices here. I've spent a tremendous amount of money on my corals - and would just basically like to break even.
Some examples of what I'd consider parting with.....
Brain coral with HUGE corallites - very beautiful = $60
Brain coral with crazy pattern (Platygyra) = $60
Cup coral (turbinaria large polyp variety - large piece) = $75
Cup coral (turbinaria with very small polyps and super eye popping yellow color) = $50
Super neon orange yuma mushroom = $75
Powder blue candy cane (rare) - I've got a couple of pieces - one with maybe 15 heads, one with maybe 10 heads = $75 and $50
I've got a frag (about 2 - 3 square inches) sized super green Montipora cap that I got at a store in Columbus, and is different from what anyone has ever had available around here = $30
Frag (about a quarter size) of unreal orange crush acan echinta - glows like a neon sign under actinics = $50
I've also got an orange Monitpora cap that started a year ago as a frag the size of a quarter and is now the size of a small dinner plate. It has grown into a really super beautiful piece. I think that I gave $35 for JUST THE FRAG alone. I'd consider selling it for $75 (if we could break off a quarter sized piece to serve as a new starter frag).
Same thing with a Pollicopora. I've got one that started as a tiny single stick (that I got at one of the frag swaps) and it is now very nice and around the size of a softball. I'd consider selling it for $75 (if we could break off a small piece to serve as a new starter frag).
I've also got a lot of other things that I've not listed. Some are common (other candycanes, green star), some are rare (huge purple acan), and some things would be difficult to frag off (like zoanthids and mushrooms that are completely encrusted on rock). I do have a small colony of carribean blue zoas (10 for $50).
I would consider delivery to the upcoming meeting - and may end up posting some pics of individual pieces later on - but would really like to give first preference to anyone interested in doing a direct pick up. I'm very convienently located just a couple miles from the Ashland Bert's Pet Center location.
Drop me a PM if interested.
