Corals getting jiggy with it

Well last night my corals, don't know which one decided to reproduce. At 1:30am I noticed that my tank got cloudy and hundreds of round pellet looking things are floating all around my tank. Luckily I had enough ro/di water made to make saltwater.

Has this happened to anyone. It has happened twice now n both times I was home to panic and make water changes. Guess do another water change tomorrow. Hope nothing happens... Protein skimmer stopped working but I hope that is just temporary.

Well I got lucky nothing was affected. Seems like I changed enough to help a crash.

Hahaha... Trust me chaderic26 if I did that I think it would stop the mood.

What corals do you have in the tank(specific species ?) How old is your tank ?
Sorry for all of the questions but this is a really interesting subject to me and I have been paying attention to what corals have been sexually reproducing in tanks for a couple of years!(and there are a ton that have!)
Also when was the last time you did a water change in the tank before the spawning event happened ?
Also what was your temp at the time?

Thanks Scott T

I would also be interested to know what corals you have, and maybe try and pinpoint what corals were spawning. I think that if we can figure out how to get corals to sexually reproduce in a controlled environment, then we could potentially have a very sustainable new method of propagating corals. Just a thought.
