I was "given a tank set up (More like I rescued it...) anyway, can you help me Identify these? THANKS!

The Daisies look like clove polyps to me, and it might just be another name for the same thing. If so, yes, invasive in my experience.

I Googled them and found they are one and the same..."They can propagate rapidly in the home aquarium forming mats or clumps " .. I guess that sounds better than "invasive"

How do I limit their spread?
 
Best advice - remove them.

A very distance second - isolate them to one rock and make sure they don't get on anything else. Good luck.
