corals in trouble please help

Hi i have 2 corals that look like they are melting, 1 is a daisy and the other is a cataphila . About 4 days ago i noticed some of the daisys had gone to a brown jelly and died. Now my cat that ive had for 10mths and always looked great looks like its melting on 1 side, I had a problem with the skimmer and it wasnt working for about 5 days. The carb hardness was a bit low and i have started to adjust it 20ppm per day, it was only on 90 now 110. Cal was 525 now 480. All other params are good. 0 amo.0 nitrite,0 nitrate, salinaty is 1.23 temp always about 26 deg. Please any help, THANKS!!!!!!!

Look like a brown gely infection...it happens when params changed radically or with a bad water quality. It's a contagieous infection than affect mostly LPS. Cut the affected part of your coral and made a reef dip to the good one to avoid propagation to the others corals.

ok thanks, i dont know how other than the problems i said i had the params have always been good. Could i have bought a coral with this and infected the tank? I did buy a coral mths ago that died it went slimy the day i put it in the tank. Is this some kind of bac ? and sorry but im still new to all of this and dont know how to make a dip and cut the coral can you please tell me how this is done so i can try and save them. Thank you for your help.

Brown gely can be induce by dramaticals changes in temperature, pH or anything that can stress corals. For the dip, you can use Reef Dip (by Seachem) or Lugol (follow instructions on the bottle). For cutting, you just need cutters. Just have to cut the head who is infected.
