Corals looking a little different than the norm

I was looking at my tank this afternoon and noticed that one of my acros was starting to grow bubbles out of the coralites.

It looks really wierd and so far I have not seen anything like it, I searched RC for hours to see if I coud find something the same and nada. I wonder???

Could it be possible for one of these corals to be having a spawning incident? If so what can I do to make the most of is. I have no movie camera and my batteries are dead.

Well I was running a T5 10K over the coral for an hour just to see if I could view anyting and again nada.. I still see the bubbles coming from the coral which to me is really cool.

BUt I reall would like to know what the heck they are, I think that I may have snapped a shot just before the camera batt's ran ot so hopefully I can post a pic later.

Ran some tests

KH - 11
Cal - 360
Nitrate - 15
Phos - Untraceable

These are the only ones I test for.

Turned the light off and looking and still the coral is still liiking like it has little ballons growing from it

Ok thanks for the links but I finally got a photo.

The rest of the newest are in my gallery for you to look at, I also have larger photos if Eric requires. I can also send via email to you in raw format as well.

I had an acro do tihs, and a couple days later it looked normal again. My guess would be it is some sort of reproduction method.

It looks like growth to me...the first time I saw this I was worried too...so I posted pix and everyone told me it was growth

I has been like this for over a week now and is getting worse. If it is a diseas I want to fix it before it gets to the rest of the corals in the system.

And as far as growth goes it is the first acro I have ever seen grow in this manor, it is really wierd.

I had some strange weirdness with tissue and polyps too. Not like yours but weird. Anyway, I was dosing some PolypLabs with vodka and the combo caused the reaction. I also believe I was over dosing the Genisis Bacteria. I see you are from Canada, any chance you use these products?

I think your CA is very low and you should prolly check Mag too. I also think you need to clean up the water some.

No, I do not us any forms of unnatural filtration methods.

I run my tank as close to natural sea water as I can, in fact if you check the natural ocean waters they don't have calcium levels above 400, my tanks calcium levels flux between 360 and 380 as I am still setting up my reactor.

I had my LFS at my house to look at the tank as most of the corals belong to him. He actually helped me build the system and he helps me run the tank. He has never seen anything like this and a few others I know in this hobby either. M LFS took the pictures with his camera.

So what better way then to ask the billions here at RC.

All the rest of the corals in the tank are fine. Outstanding color and growth rates.

If this is a disease I don't want it getting to any one the rest of the corals so I am asking if anyone knows what this is, not judge how my tank runs. If it is a disease then I am pulling the corals from the system. But before I turn a coral to crushed gravel I need t know that it is either normal or not.
