Hi everyone.

I seem to be having a problems with my lps. They all seem to be losing the zooenthelle. They are not bleaching other than the frogspawn who bleached about 2 months ago and has now come back. My Favia i just saw is spitting it out of about 8 polyps as are my candycane and my ricordia(i know it is not a lps)lol

Anyways i have no idea what is going on.

Here are my just tested params

salinity:1.025
Ph-8.2
Ammon-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-20(Can't get that down no matter how hard i try has always been this)
Calcium-400
Dkh-8

Any ideas?
There is no brown jelly or anything. I just don't get it. But yet my lta anemone is Huge. Never seen him bigger!!!

What about temperature I have found warm water bleaches my corals especially over summer months when weather gets hot.

LOL....I dunno maybe they are expelling. Didn't know that:
A: what It lookes like
B: That soft corals and lps did that...:)
Learn something new everyday on this site....lmao

My lights are 600 watts of pc.

And the only one that is bleached is my frogspawn which did that about 2 months ago and has now come back. Although the ricordia is starting to look bleached and it is shrinking in size.

My temp is anywhere from 78-81 depending on the day. 82 Is the highest it has ever been.

In my experience I have witnessed this due to spectrum shifts with my lights. Warmer temperatures certainly dont help, but alone wont cause this. Keep in mind that spectrum shifts can happen alot more frequently with PC bulbs and there usefull life is usually only 6 months before swapping would be recommended. If it was a lone specimen, I would say no big whoop, prolly poopin, but for quite a few things to be doing this that tells me theres something significant happening with either water, light, flow, or food.Hopefully its just some older bulbs, ez fix. :)

Side note, if youve only had these specimens for a few months, and especially if there coming from a more intensely lit system(VHO,MH, or T5) before going to your tank, then this also would be a normal sign of of them just bleaching out to accomodate for a lower lit system, will gradually color back up slightly more.
