Corals online

Hi everyone!

I just set up a 22 gallon tank, and I would like to start adding some corals. Do you guys know any trustworthy online store? Also, I was looking at some frags on ebay but I'm not sure if the colors are real, I think most of them go by the name of "cornbred" and most of them have really nice coloration however I'm a little skeptical. Does anyone has experience with those corals? specially when buying from ebay?

I have yet to buy from them yet but my buddy has bought stuff from liveaquaria.com. I usually find people near me either on Craigslist or by word of mouth. I like to see the corals and if lucky the colony they came from.

There are a bunch of reputable etailers(liveaquaria, vivid, bulletcorals,cherrycorals,wwc...), but your best bet is to find a local reef club. You'll probably pay less, won't have to pay for shipping, and your purchases won't be stressed due to shipping.

His corals are under a lot of blue light. See if he will send you a pic of the coral with more white lights on. If the background color doesn't look natural then the coral color isn't either. If you don't mind viewing your tank with almost all blue lights then go for it. Sure some colors will pop, but then look at the rest of the tank saturated in blue/purple. Not pretty at all to me imo.

I agree about going to your local reef club.
