coralvue bulb

Well I just got the backodered bulb today (10k 250 w coralvue). I put it in fire it up wow it looks good , 2 miniuts later it went out . so I swithced the bulbs from left to right it fired up , 2 miniuts later it went out . tried swithcthing them again no luck . The origanal bulb has never failed , and I'm using IceCap ballasts .

Hey Joe........

Turn the ballast on and let the bulb keep trying to refire after it goes out. Left it go for about 4 or 5 hrs. If it does not fire and stay lit after this time, let me know.

Ok I'll give it a shot tomorrow .
Have there been any simmilar problems similar to this ?
 
Yes, there have been a few. Vue Technologies have been unavailable this week, but I will try getting ahold of them on Monday to see if they have been hearing the same things.

On a side note Is your tank still up and running , If it is are you A radium lover yet ?:p
 
Ahhh.....so so........I love the color my sps put out, but the overall tank appearance still looked unnatural to me......IMO the ultimate overall color/appearance of the tank looks best with the 10k lamps and vho actinic supplementation. Funny you asked about the my tank though, its actually coming down this weekend.
 
Well that didn't work , I even shut it off let it sit a half hour and turned it back on and now it don't start at all .
On a seperate note:
Will I get a tracking # on T-5 's I ordered . I know it comes from sunlight I was just wondering on when ?

Hey Joe,

Sounds like we definitely need to get you a new lamp. I will make a note in the morning to have a new one shipped out to you. We already sold through the batch we just got in, so it might be about 1.5 - 2 wks before we get more stock in. I will have it sent right out as soon as we get it. Sunlight should have a tracking # available on Monday, I will get it over to you then.

You've got me worried now as I also got 2 bulbs from that shipment. Mine will be running tomorrow so hopefully all goes well.
 
Hey Chet.........I wouldn't worry too much about it. They seemed to have gotten better with their quality here recently. Let me know if there are any problems.
 
Hey Joe........Sorry for the long wait. I'm pretty sure the backorder CV lamps shipped out tonight though. I will check for sure when I get back into the shop in the morning though, and if for some reason they didnt get out I will update you.
 
Hi Joe,

This lamp shipped to you on Nov. 11th, you should have it in your hands by now. Tracking shows it was deliverd on 11/13/03 @ 10:37 am, tracking # 1Z82E0E60348082224.

Now that I just looked at the dates of the earlier posts, it looks like you should have received the bulb quite some time ago, before you even inquired about an update on it. Would anyone in your home have accepted the package and set it somewhere by mistake if you did not receive it?

Hi Jeremy ,
I have recieved the back ordered bulb , It wouldn't fire , you said as soon as the next shipment came in you would ship a new one .
So yes I have two bulbs all together one never fired up .
