Cord swelled up on pumps during cleaning

I left a few pumps soaking in vinegar (nothing special, local crockery store brand vinegar) but I left them soaking for over a week and the part of the cord that was in the vinegar swelled up to 2 (maybe 3) times; it looks like a serious allergic reaction.

I've had the pumps for many years but usually when I clean them I leave them for a day but these where put in vinegar just before I left for a trip and remained longer.

What should I do? I'm not sure I would trust them in the tank but I have spares until I get these fixed or replaced.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken,

That is very odd, I have generally only seen this in two cases, strong acids or it is possible with mild acids like vinegar when combined with heat, for example if the pumps were running so the small volume got very warm. Please send them in.

I will do that; do you just want the main bodies or everything (impeller, casing, etc.)? Can you PM me the correct shipping address; just to be sure I have it?

Thanks,
Ken
