Hello everybody !

Well I know in live aquaria says to stay away from inverts, so my question is. Do anyone here have a coris red along with shrimps? Whats your experience with this fish? I do have several shrimps, hermits and snails in the main tank.

Its still in QT so Im not late to return it to the LFS if necessary.

Thanks in advance !

Ur shooting dice...only one way to find out. U can have 5 people on here that say their wrasse is cool with shrimp in the tank and then u release urs and it kills every shrimp in site. I wouldn’t take the risk cause it’s in their nature to eat inverts.

Hi! Yeah I have had my Red Cori's now for 2 yeas. He was a 2 inch juvi when I got him. Now he a little over 5 inches and changing into his adult coloration. I can't keep ANY shrimp of any kind....or crabs...I have a mixture of serpent stars and brittle stars for a clean up crew and that's about it. Also he will up end every thing and anything he can flip over....giant Deresa clam....large corals in the sand etc....I had to find creative ways to make sure everything is glued down. I love that fish though so it was worth the hassle. LOL!😀

Oh another thing....me personally would take my Red Cori's over any shrimp any day. Cool fish...laid back...however before I knew what was happening he took out a Scarlett shrimp...3 skunk cleaner shrimp...and 2 peppermint shrimp. I also have a lot if wrasses so they probably helped too....but he is by far the largest!
