Hi there, I've been into the reef hobby for about 6 years but pretty new to RC and other online forums. I've been to a handful of stores every chance i get to get out of my area, and i have to say that A Reef Creation in Buffalo, NY is by far my top pick. I really was just curious about how many people are around my area, and if your within a couple hours if there are any LFS near you that you would recomend a visit to. There are only 2 LFS in my area, besides petco, but they are pretty small and don't really move a lot of livestock, so it's hard to get anything to special. It seems like whenever something good comes into these two stores, it's gone the same day. The only real special thing that i've picked up in the last 6 years was a small frag of Orange Crush Acan Echinatta. I think if we could get together and at least let people know when we are going out of town and maybe get some info on a store or two to enhance our travels. Thanks to you all for your future input (I hope!).

Jim,

Welcome. It seems like more Elmira/Corning people keep popping in here every few months. Not many, but the group is growing. You missed nice meet a couple of weeks ago in Van Etten at St James of Reefdom's.

I got your PM and do have some orange yuma. I have some orange zoos also if that interests you.

I know what you mean about out local stores. Rarely have anything I want but I do try to support them when I can. I may be placing an online order for some snails and such in a few weeks if you are interested in any clean up crew. It all depends on if I make the trip to Buffalo and pick up some things there.

Glad to hear from you and look forward to meeting you.

Yes i am interested in more clean up crew, but i always try to save buying them until i can get to That Fish Place in Lancaster. They have amazing prices on snails and crabs, and you can pretty much get anything you want there. Are you planning on heading up for the frag swap? I would love to get up there and i've never been to one, but i need to find out about a sitter.

There is a nice place in Syracuse called abc reefs. The reef shop in Rochester is really nice too. Nothing here in Binghamton at all. By the way welcome to STRS!

nwrogers - i've been planning on making a trip to ABC Reefs and The Reef Shop, but havent gotten around to it yet. Creature Comforts is the only place in Binghamton that i would go to, but they barely have anything!

prhoades - I am actually going to Finnyas tomorrow afternoon. My fellow reefer friend and i are taking my kids out that way to check it out.
