!?Correct Salinity?!

Ok, ran into this thread this morning: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1276603

and now I'm really unsure of the correct measurement of the salinity in my tank.

I mixed up some of the calibration solution as per the directions in the above thread and it appears that my hydrometer may be more accurate than the refractometer. I'm not sure that my measurements for mixing were totally accurate, so I decided to do it twice, and I came up with the same results both times. The refractometer checked the results at 1.030 where my hydrometer was showing 1.0265 or so.

Maybe someone else can look at the charts and stuff in that thread and make more sense of it than me. I'm just trying to figure out what's best for the inhabitants of my tank, or if its a little off one way or the other - how much difference does it make? And, is it better to mix a little low or a little high?

I read that thread a while back but didn't trust my chemistry ability to make cal fluid accurately.
I have heard that stability is more important than accuracy (within reason) so I calibrate my refractometer with RO water and then always mix my water to 1.025 @ 79*. I chose 1.025 so it doesn't go too high with evaporation and because it is the long bar on the refractometer scale and I am half blind.
If I could find some calibration fluid locally I would by a bottle though. Hint to LFS.

Note the part above about being half blind. Put a sign up with an arrow pointing to it or throw it at me next time Im there.
