Hey my name in blake this is my first post im looking for tips to keeping cortez stingrays heathy and happy. i have a 135 gallon tank with alot of soft open sand for him and no fish that would nip at him. my water is clean but not perfect i try to keep it as good as i can but everything is still in great shape. Can any1 please tell me some usefull tips for the cortez stingray i want him to be heathy and happy :). i also have a 55 gallon sump with skimmer and tons of liverock for big filtration. O and i wanted to know if they do find with snkowflake eels? my eel is generally nice leaves all my fish alone. :fish2::fish2:

A 135 is not big enough in my opinion to keep a ray. Since you haven't purchased one yet I recommend looking for something different.

what els is nearly as cool and fun as a stringray? i was looking into small sharks too but they seem alot more expensive and harder to keep, can any1 give me some good sugestions of things to look into??

*(still looking for tips on the ray tho please let me know if have some)*

The Cortez rays usually come in pretty small, atleast they do at my store i think that you'd be able to keep one for a year or longer before needing to upgrade, I'd only purchase one if in fact you do have plans to upgrade in the future.

I wouldn't get one unless you plan on getting an 8' tank. I have one and they are very active and need lots of room to swim. Create a peninsula style aquascape.
