is it expensive to get a custom tank built?

Expensive is a relative term. It depends on how much you have and how much you're willing to spend.

Plus, you need to specify the glass (or acrylic) thickness, if it's going to be pre-drilled, and with a tank of that six, if it's going to need to be delivered.

If your looking for a tank that cheaper than glass or acrylic there are guys here making them out of plywood. Just a thought.

Are you saying through your photos that you want a 60"x30"x30" tank made of 3/8" material? That seems rather thin and likely to bow or break.

As to cost, in this hobby you get what you pay for. Cost and expense is relative, as this is definitely NOT a cheap hobby.

no, the 3/8" is only for the top, the rest will be much thicker.
