Costco Nano

Not bad, I might get one just to try it out.
It just goes to show how much a LFS marks things up.

Supposedly it is 24 watts of T5 High Output. If it's Normal Output then I'm not going to set it up, but if it is truly HO then it should be plenty of light. The good thing is that Costco will let you bring it back for a full refund even after a year of use!!

Well, they were full of Sh%#! The T5s are not HO and put off less light than most fresh water hoods I've seen. It's going back today!!

Thanks for taking one for the team and being the guinea pig on this one!

Glad we have the forum to share knowledge good and bad!

wish i saw this post earlier. i coulda saved you all a lot of trouble. these tanks are just "upgraded" cube masters. the new t5's are really really red/pink. they're cheaply made and crappy. you're better off with the PC lights they used to come with, but i still wouldn't buy one anyways. stick with the aquapods or biocubes. and lfs dont realy mark up these tanks all that much. and these cubemasters retail for that much at some lfs already. so buyer beware.

a lfs set one up when they were really popular, before the better built APs and oceanics came out. they recently switched it to the oceanic they had to replace the hood on the old one 3 times. the Vision cube is the same make as the CubeMaster just with a different name. They're ok, but you won't like the filter. it doesnt skim the surface or anything. it actually builds up nitrates pretty quickly. you're better off getting a eclipse 1 and adding a 55w PC retro. get the biocube 8, they work better. also the stock pumps run really warm and they basically suck, you'd have to switch them out to a mj 400 or something. but stay away from them. stay away from anything thats JBJ, JEBO, or Odessea..and cube master for that matter, i don't care what the price difference is. horrible stuff. you'll notice they'll say UL listed COMPONENTS vs being entirely UL compliant. anyways just my opinion and experience. i'm in CA and these things are basically imported over here and then shipped out to the rest of the country. so i see them a lot.
