Clkwrk, the middle one looks like m.confusa. Or maybe im confusa,lol.
Could anybody ID These Three Corals ?

Actually it is a misnomer that A. yongei= slimer. I have to speak blue in the face to everyone in the hobby before they understand that A. formosa = slimer not the YONGEI
. Many years ago it was misidentified and it stuck, just like Superman Danae which is not a M. danae at all but a M. tuberuclosa. Not to bag on anyone but I just hope that someday it will clear up and be called the proper species (for those that care). Actually A. yongei have can have varied thickness in branch structure depending upon what flow there were collected in. I have seen some in Fiji that have quarter inch thick branches (sheltered from flow) all the way up to almost an inch thick (heavy flow). What one has to look at is the corallite structure, that will lead you in the right direction to figuring out what the species might be.
To go back to your #6 photo where you told it might be a A. navini, once again look at the corallite structure. A. navini have chunkier corallites with many incipient axial corallites where as A. turaki do not. Now looking at the photo again, I do see some resemblence to A. navini but I have received seceral A. tuaki that have looked like this when small and then as they grow they stretch out and perfectly resemble A. turaki. Only time will tell, from what I can see this might have been propogated in Indo in a higher flow area.

To answer your next post I the same species that I have been holding onto for some time. From what I have deducted this species is A. parilis. They have radial corallites that are almost shaved off (or not very defined) and fairly separated, plus the branches are long and snake about.
Let this one grow, they are really nice once they mature.

Thanks Chris. I guess I still have much to learn. Once a noob, always a noob,. But at least I knew that the Superman Monti wasn't a danae 
Then that begs the question, what's the green slimer? Is there a green A. formosa?
Is this A. formosa? It was sold to me as such.
One more to ID. This one has lost the green tips and the branches have really thinned out.

I am confused, lol. On page 8, isn't the last photo you posted the same as the first one here? If so I think that I called the last one on page 8, A. formosa. The first one on page 8 looks different than the what you posted here. Am I off base? But yes I agree that the one you posted here is A. formosa.
Now the second might be M. confusa but the ridges looks smaller and a bit more irregular. So that points me toward M. vietnamensis, which is relatively rare.
The third seems to me to be a Yellow Tort (A. austera). But the photo is a tad blurry and therefore I am having a hard time making out the corallites structure.
The last one I still believe to be A. solitaryensis but my opinion could change as it grows out. Wow, the color is has changed quite a bit since your last photo. If it begins to table out then I am pretty sure that it is what I think it is if you think what I am thinking you think that I think that it might be if we are all thinking on the same line of thinking, -(Not quite Dodgeball but... Ben Stiller cracks me up)...

Yes a Bali Green Slimer is a A. formosa, and yes what you have photographed here looks like a Fiji Blue Slimer (also A. formosa). I love all those comedians and their movies right now. Old School was on TBS last night and I fall over crying when Will Ferrell shoots himself with the Tranquilizer gun. I haven't laughed so hard in a long long time....Well except at Rip Zorn in Dogeball saying to that one cheerleader dude that he was as worthless as a "#$@!% Flavored Popcicle." I am almost died when I heard that.
Oh im glad I was sort of right on the A. formosa I was getting a little confunsad (pun intended- sorry Wentreefgirl no offense, I am just trying to be funny, and usually I am not very good at it).

It grew on me after seeing it a few times just the plain stupidity and killer lines. But I agree not into the drug movies just like a good laugh from time to time over the stupid stuff .....Now monty python is a whole other game and will always be funny no matter how old you get.
