Someone offered to sell me this mushroom but I'm not really sure what it is worth or even what it is. Any ideas on the species name/market price? Thanks. :thumbsup:

Hmm possible? I looked at some St. Thomas on Google but the bubble part seems a bit off.

Is it a variant of a bounce mushroom? I know the colours of the bubble don't look like it but the shape is sort of similar..

That is some sort of Rhodactis mushroom, but not the St. Thomas(a specific species of Rhodactis). Looks neat but is probably due to heavy actinic light, I doubt it looks anything like that during regular viewing hours.

IMO, that would go for anywhere between 10 and 30 dollars depending on size and the true color with lights on.

The OP's mushroom is rhodactis sp.....with the bubbles present, you could call it a 'bounce'.

The seller insists that it is not a bounce, just to ensure I'm not getting the steal of the century. I appreciated the honesty. Regardless, it is still a nice looking specimen and I may buy it anyway.

$25CDN ain't too shabby for a bubble green bounce shroom like this with a yellow frilly edge....i'd hit it. (I'm also from Canada)

I bet if Cornbred got a hold of it it'd be more like $125USD + shipping
