i found this in a bag of oysters i got could anyone tell me what it is thanks.

It's a mollusc called a chiton, similar to the one a few posts below yours. It's an algae eater, and would be fine in an aquarium, although it's likely a temperate species rather than a tropical species (i.e., it might fare better in water that is cooler than most tropical tanks).
