I have a CPR Bakpak 2 skimmer...

would i be able to put LR and chaeto where the blue stuff is? and put a compact flourescent light behind it for the chaeto? thanks

Yes, i've seen people do it successfully. just make sure it doesn't clog and restrict flow, that will make the skimmer less efficient

I would want the skimmer to work well. Trying to get more bang for your buck in those cramped spaces by adding a refuge might be more trouble then it's worth.
