I have just placed my first few orders in the past two weeks!! Overall I am very happy with the quality of the fish. I do have a few questions on order A2601378 I am 99% sure that the yellow watchman goby did not survive. He was out every day and then dissappeared.I understand they burrow and hide but I have a three pillar setup and can see most every part of the tank. How do I proceed with the loss of a fish?? Also on orders A2603143 and A2603219 the fish came in alot smaller than expected. The lyretail male is huge but the he was listed at 3" and the females at 1.5".One of the females is only .5inches the other maybe 3/4in and the mccoskeri was listed at 1.5" and he is tiny about half the size of a silverside, maybe 1" long and 1/4 in top to bottom.Don't get me wrong they all are healthy and eating and very colorful I just worry about there saftey as they are much smaller than I antisipated. My question for the second order is how do I get a better idea of the size before ordering, the second order was from dd and the lyretail females where in a separate pic from the male so they looked very similiar in size and the wrasse's pic must have been very close up as he looked the same size as others for sale that were listed at 3in??

At this point I don't have anything negative to say about dfs, representatives were very helpful and polite when placing the orders and they arrived as scheduled,I just want to prevent adding a tiny specimen into a tank with larger fish that might harass and kill it. Thnks LB

LB,

We apologize for the loss of your Yellow Watchman Goby. We have placed a credit on file for you for the cost of this fish. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your credit, or if you would like it applied to your credit card.

On the date each picture is taken for our Diver’s Den site, we do measure the fish including the tail. For the Anthias trio, the male was photographed separately from the females. Depending on how it moved during the photo shoot, one picture may have shown the fish closer towards the glass than the other. Once the pictures are taken for each fish, the best one is chosen and then cropped to show off the fish rather than the background. Placing pictures side by side would not be a true representation of the length of the fish. Please contact us at 1-800-334-3699, and we would be happy to discuss this further with you.

This is not a huge problem and the fault is probably mine. The fish just came yesterday and are swimming around and eating,so that is most important. I guess the differences in sizes is probably greater on the small fish, because my solarensis was listed as 3 in and has about 5 times the mass of the 1.5 inch mccoskeri. The mccoskeri has taken refuge with the anthias school and seems to be under the protection of the male :) They will all be nice additions as long as they stay healthy as I have just begun stocking fish,so if I were to recieve smaller fish than I expected this was the perfect time. Thanks for the help!!!
